Building Works:
Installation of smokers’ courtyards and general upgrade of remainder of Hotel complex.
Site Specific Building Solutions:
This project involved the opening of two lounges for smokers to achieve the government deadline of July 1st 2007, banning internal smoking. Upon completion of the smokers’ lounges, the main entrance was upgraded. Modifications to the internal layout provided some interesting structural challenges due to the building being constructed in the 1800’s!
Works also included the upgrade of the Façade to the main bar along with a complete re-paint and new flooring fixtures.
Contract Result;
This project completed its first stage on time, allowing patrons the freedom to enjoy a smoke free environment. Despite the structural unknowns this project was completed on time and on budget.
